These will be necessary. You can change this behaviour but you need an XP user to tell you how.

  • Enter the serial number in the Product search by serial/identnumber box.

  • Are you talking about your wireless networking?
  • So right click each device detected and select Update Driver.
  • The first one is simply labelled "OS".
  • When it asks, make sure drive A is selected and point what to write to the img file you downloaded in step #2.
  • upon loading windows it blue screened.
  • That may be a problem because Toshiba doesn't seem to offer the drivers for download from their site.

I don't know if I can post all of the screen captures inline and there's a limit on the number of attachments and their sizes to each post. You'll have to update the drivers for them individually. You aren't going to be able to speed up an 800MHz computer. Can you boot with a floppy and reformat the hard drive from that?Then, if can you set the USB CD-ROM to be the next boot device, then when the laptop discovers

One thing I will suggest is not to use any driver finder application as they can be more problematic than enough as they get generic drivers in the main and not Unfortunately, after downloading and creating the Windows XP (original) floppys.... it gave me an error and quit after i installed each disk in windows setup. I'll post again later after I've solved the problem. Right click on it and select properties. I had to do this to an old Dell Optiplex desktop (700MHz) that was not able to boot from the CD-ROM drive. 1. pongo, Jul 26, 2013 #15 Just Playin MajorGeek Not working how?
