I also see the windows driver installation guide which covers Win-8 specifically.
Recommendation: If you are inexperienced with updating Garmin device drivers manually, we highly recommend downloading the Garmin eTrex H Driver Utility. there is a technology called FTDI which IS supporting all the latest OS's and in fact it installs automatically on Win7.
