What version of OS X are you using? Freecom Network Drive 500gb What does that mean exactly. Have you tried this HD on another machine to verify it's working?

FireWire800 & 400 are the reliable interfaces for audio/video professionals.

And it indeed presents itself as a Freecom disk. Check This Out I have another 1 TB IOmega drive that works fine on the TC, so I assume the USB port on the TC is okay.Any suggestions?
